5K Walk

This morning was the MS Walk @ the Coliseum. All together we raised $2,220! The experience was awesome and very inspiring.

Too bad we missed the Opening Ceremonies, but we were right on time to start the Walk with everyone else. We started at 8:45 AM, but then we ended up backtracking a few yards b/c half of our team was still waiting at the Start line for us. Oops! All together, we leisurely sauntered w/ the masses around and through USC. When we finally reached the Finish line around 10:10 AM, we started taking pictures. After a few, I said, "um, guys, don't you think we should actually finish the Walk by crossing the finish line?" "Oh yeah!" At the finish line (a few feet away), some kiddo volunteers honored everyone w/ medals. :)

Although I was looking forward to Louise's Trattoria there, AL's parents were waiting for us at El Cholo (just as yummy, if not yummier!). Her parents are so cool. They were drinking margaritas at 11AM. I have not seen anyone have a drink before noon except in Vegas.

I guess you either see or learn something new everyday.
